Correct Answer - Option 4 : 20 kg

Given:

A fruit seller Kishan buys bananas at 3 kg for Rs. 9

Kishan sells banana at 5 kg for Rs. 40.

Formula used:

Profit = Selling Price – Cost Price

Calculations:

Cost price of 1 kg Banana = 9/3 = Rs. 3

Selling price of 1 kg Banana = 40/5 = Rs. 8

Profit earned by selling 1 kg banana = 8 – 3 = Rs. 5

For earning Rs. 100, he must sell = 100/5 = 20 kg

∴ For earning Rs. 100, Kishan must sell 20 kg.
