Correct Answer - Option 3 : 34

Given:

Average of P numbers = 32

75% of the numbers are increased by 6 each

Remaining numbers are decreased by 10 each

Formula used:

Average = Sum of observations/Number of observations

Calculation:

Let total number be 4

75% of total number (4) = 3

Now, 3 increased by 6 each

So, total increment = 6 × 3 = 18

And remaining number = (4 – 3) = 1

Now, 1 decreased by 10 each

So, total decrement = 1 × 10 = 10

Overall change = 18 – 10 = 8

Average change = 8/4 = 2

So, New average of P numbers = 32 + 2 = 34

∴ The new average of P numbers is 34
