Domestic Water Demand: 

The total quantity of water required for all domestic activity eg. - cooking, drinking, washing, bathing, etc.

It is mentioned in the Indian Standard, IS;1172-1993 that the minimum value of water supply given as 200 liters per head per day may be reduced to 135 liters per head per day for houses for Low-Income Groups (LIG) and Economically Weaker Section (EWS) of society, depending upon prevailing conditions.
