Correct Answer - Option 3 : decreases, increases

Explanation:

Factors affecting permeability:

1) K = f(Medium properties, Fluid properties)

2) \(K = {D^2}\frac{{{e^3}}}{{1 + e}}{\left( {\frac{\gamma }{\mu }} \right)_f}{K_1}.{K_2}.{K_3}.{K_4}.{K_5}.{K_6}\)

Note:

  • When temperature increases, the viscosity of fluid decreases which means it can flow more easily with less resistance to flow.
  • K is inversely proportional to viscosity i.e. If viscosity decreases then permeability increases.

So, option 3 is the correct answer.
