Best answer
Correct Answer - Option 2 : B = W/P

Concept:

Area of footing required is given by,

\(Area = \frac{{Total\;load}}{{Safe\;bearing\;capacity\;of\;soil}}\)

\(A = \frac{W}{P}\)

Calculation:

Given,

L = 1

And we know that,

A = L × B

So, from the above equation, we get,

\(B = \frac{W}{P}\)
