Correct Answer - Option 4 : 160%

Given:

On selling 50 pairs shopkeeper gains the cost price of 80 pairs.

Formula:

Profit percent = Profit/cost price × 100

Calculation:

Let the cost price of 1 pair be x

Cost price of 80 pairs = 80 × x = 80x

Cost price of 50 pairs = 50 × x = 50x

Profit on 50 pairs = 80x

Profit percent = 80x/50x × 100

⇒ Profit percent = 8/5 × 100

⇒ Profit percent = 160

The profit on selling 50 such pairs is 160%
