The correct answer is The Geiger-muller counter.

  • The Geiger-Muller counter is used for measures the amount of ionizing radiation, of any radioactive metal.  It was originated in the year 1908.
  • Basically, the instrument consists of a pair of electrodes surrounded by a gas.  The gas used is usually Argon or Helium gas. The electrodes have a high voltage across them.

  • The calorimeter is used in chemical reactions to measure heat or thermodynamics.
  • The polarimeter is used to measure the rotation angle by polarized light
  • The barometer is used in measuring atmospheric pressure.
