Basic concept of discount.

FORMULA USED:

Discount = MP – SP

CALCULATION:

Marked price of bicycle = 690/0.15 = Rs. 4600

Now, same percentage discount is offered on selling price of the bicycle.

So,

Selling price of bicycle = 4600/1.15 = Rs. 4000

∴ Discount amount = MP – SP = 4600 – 4000 = Rs. 600
