Correct Answer - Option 1 : Rs. 2,000

Given -

principal = Rs. 9,000

Invested in three parts at 3%, 4% and 6% on simple interest

Formula used -

S.I = (principal × rate × time)/100

Solution -

Let the amount be x, y and z respectively.

⇒ s.i = (x × 3 × 1/100) = (y × 4 × 1/100) = (z × 6 × 1/100)

⇒ x : y : z = (1/3) : (1/4) : (1/6)

⇒ x : y : z = 4 : 3 : 2

⇒ the amount invested at 6% = (2 × 9000/9) = Rs. 2000

∴ amount invested at 6% is Rs, 2.000.
