Correct Answer - Option 3 : 12 liters

Given:

Old ratio of apple juice to orange juice = 2 : 3

New ratio = 1 : 2

Orange juice added = 2 liters

Calculations:

Here, assume X to be initial quantity of mixture

⇒ Quantity of apple juice in old mixture = (2 / 5) × X

⇒ Quantity of orange juice in old mixture = (3 / 5) × X

Now, 2 liters is added

⇒ ((2/5) × X)/(((3/5) × X) + 2) = 1 : 2

⇒ 2X/(3X + 10) = 1 : 2

⇒ 4X = 3X + 10

⇒ X = 10 liters

⇒ New mixture = 10 + 2

∴ Quantity of new mixture is 12 liters
