Correct Answer - Option 4 : 120

Given:

Two candidates A and B participated in an election

30% of the voters did not vote

Out of the total voters voted 326 votes were declared invalid

A got 254 votes which are 25.4% of the total votes.

Calculations:

25.4% of the total votes = 254

Total votes = (254/25.4) × 100 = 1000

Total voters voted = Total number of voters – voters who did not vote

⇒ 1000 – (30% of 1000)

⇒ 1000 – 300 = 700

According to the question,

Total votes B got + total votes A got + total votes declared invalid = 700

⇒ Total votes B got + 254 + 326 = 700

⇒ Total votes of B = 120

∴ B got total 120 votes
