Correct Answer - Option 2 : 62.5 m

Concept:

Equation of motion:

It is defined as equations that describe the behaviour of a physical system in terms of its motion as a function of time.

There are three equation of motions:

  1. v = u + at
  2. \(s = ut + \frac 12at^2\)
  3. v2 = u2 + 2as

where u = initial velocity, v = final velocity, a = acceleration, s = displacement, t = time

Calculation:

Given:

u = 0 m/s, a = 5 m/s2, t = 5 s

\(s = ut + \frac 12at^2\)

\(s = 0\times t + \frac 12at^2\)

\(s = \frac 12at^2 = \frac 12 \times 5\times 5^2= 62.5 ~m\)
