Correct Answer - Option 1 : 5 : 16

Given:

The mixture = 90 litre

Ratio of milk and water = 7 ∶ 2

Added quantity = 10 litre milk and 5 litre water

Calculation:

Quantity of milk = (7/9) × 90

⇒ 7 × 10

⇒ 70 litre

Quantity of water = (2/9) × 90

⇒ 2 × 10

⇒ 20 litre

Now,

New quantity of milk = 70 litre + 10 litre

⇒ 80 litre

New quantity of water = 20 litre + 5 litre

Now,

New ratio of water and milk

25 ∶ 80

⇒ 5 : 16

The New ratio of water and milk will be 5  16
