Given:

Length of the rectangle = 12 cm

Formula:

Diagonal² = Length² + Breadth²

Area of the rectangle = Length × Breadth 

Calculation:

 According to the formula

15² = 12² + Breadth²

⇒ Breadth² = 225 – 144 

⇒ Breadth = √81

⇒ Breadth = 9

∴ Area of the rectangle = 9 × 12 = 108 cm²
