Six years ago, Varun's age was thrice as that of Arun's

Concept Used-

Difference of ages of two persons is always constant over time. 

Calculation-

Let the age of Arun and Varun be x and x + 16

Their age 6 years ago was x - 6 and x + 10

According to Question -

x + 10 = 3(x - 6)

⇒ 2x = 28

⇒ x = 14 and x + 16 = 30

∴ Their present ages is 14 years and 30 years.
