Correct Answer - Option 1 : 1,800 litre

Given:

A pump fills 1200 litres of water in a tank, after which it remains 60% empty.

Calculation:

According to the question,

40% = 1200

⇒ 1% = 300

Total capacity of tank = 100% = 30000 litres

More water that should be filled = 3000 - 1200 = 1800 litres

∴ Quantity of water that should be filled in tank is 1800 litres.
