Best answer

i) u = 49 m/s, g = 9.8 m/s2.

Maximum height = u/2g = (49 x 49)/(2 x 9.8) = 122.5 m.

ii) Total time to return to the surface of the earth = 2u/g = (2 x 49 )/9.8 = 10 s.
