Kilowatt hour : “When an electric power of one kilowatt flows through a conductor for one hour, then electrical energy which flows through the conductor is one kilowatt hour.”

1KWH = 1000W x 1h

1KWH = 1000W x (60 x 60)sec

= 1000J/S x 3600s = 100000J

1KWH = 105J
