Best answer

So, 45 + x + y = 60

x + y = 60 – 45 = 15

x + y = 15 ….. (1)

The median is 28.5 which lies be-tween 20 and 30.

Median class = 20 – 30

Lower boundary of the median class ‘l’ = 20

N/2 = 60/2 = 30

cf – cumulative frequency = 5 + x

h = 10

8 + y = 15

y = 7

∴ x = 8; y = 7.
