Given the ΔABC is an isosceles triangle and AB = AC

Let D be the mid point of BC; Join A, D.

Now in ΔABD and ΔACD

AB = AC (given)

BD = DC (construction)

AD = AD (common)

∴ ΔABD ≅ ΔACD (∵ SSS congruence)

⇒ ∠B = ∠C [∵ CPCT]
