Number of first page of a opened book x 

Number of second page = x + 1 

∴ The sum of the numbers of two pages = 373 

⇒ x + (x + 1) = 373 

⇒ 2x + 1 = 373 

2x = 372 

⇒ x = 186 

∴x + 1 = 186 + 1 = 187 

∴ Numbers of two consecutive pages = 186, 187
