The given observations are 5, 3, 1,-4, 6,7,0.

Writing the observations in ascending order, we have – 4, 0, 1, 3, 5, 6, 7.

There are 7 observations.

Hence the median will be ( \(\frac{7+1}{2}\) )th observation i.e., 4th observation.

The 4th observation is 3.

Hence, the median is 3.
