• Under urban basic schemes, Indira Aavas Yojana, Rajiv Gruha Yojana, etc., so many people acquired houses. 
• They are constructed in the prime localities of the cities. 
• Most of the slums in the cities were removed. 
• Development is still going on in this regard.
