Subject : Complaint against defective alarm clock 

Sir 

With reference to our bill no. BF 0325 dated 16 December 20xx, I would like to complain about an alarm clock that I bought from your shop. I regret to inform you that it is not working properly as it lags one hour behind the time and so does not serve the purpose for which I had bought it. 

I request you to either replace the alarm-clock or repair it so that I may take advantage of the alarm system.

I hope you will take quick action against it.
