If a line makes angles 90°,60° and 30° with the positive direction of x, y and z-axes respectively, find its direction cosines.

Let the angles made by the line with positive x axis, y axis and z axis be α, β, γ then

α = 90°, β = 60° and γ = 30°.

Therefore the direction cosines of the lines are

(cosα, cosβ, cosγ)

= (0, 1/2​, 3/2​​)
