Detailed Answer :
Anne often felt bad about the miserable physical and emotional conditions in the annexe and the confinement bothered her. Anne had to live with eight people under severe conditions. She had no privacy, she had to face restricted movement of the inmates, she had to deal with clashing personalties and lived in the fear of being discovered. The lack of variety of food and sometimes underfed children always bothered her mind. During the war, they were dragged out of their houses and were sent to concentration camps. Many of the Jews went into hiding to escape from the clutches of Germans. But this hiding or annexe was very difficult to live in. There was no visits to the doctors and the residents were always under the constant fear of being robbed. The thefts were frequent, the space was cramped and the residents of the annexe always tried to find faults with each other. The toilets were unhygienic and thus, the life at the annexe was extremely difficult.
