• Secondary appraisal- They are subjective and depend on:
- Past experiences. o Controllable- sense of self confidence and self-efficacy
- Type of stressor- environmental, social or psychological
- Dimensions of the stressor- intensity, duration, complexity predictability o Person characteristics- physiological, psychological, cultural
- Resources- physical, personal and social
