Correct option: (b) (n+r-1) C(r-1) 

Explanation:

given: (x1 + x2 + ------ xr)n 

Numbers of terms in expansion of (x1 + x2 + ------ xm)n = m+n–1Cm–1 

here m = r hence

∴ numbers of terms in expansion = r+n–1Cr–1 = n+r–1Cr–1
