√x + y = 13

⇒ y = 13 - √x---(1)

& x2 + √y = 5

⇒ √y = 5 - x2

⇒ y = (5 - x2)2--(2)

Hence, for solution of given system of equations we have to draw y = 13 - √x & (5 - x2)2 on graph and have to find their intersection points.

\(\because\) There are two intersection points.

So, there is two solution of given system of equations.
