Best answer

Correct option (a)

Explanation:

Dehydration of alcohol is based upon the stability of carbonium ion of alcohol which are obtained after elimination of OH- ion.

Stability order t - > s - > p-carbonium ion.

The stability of carbonium ion is also increased by means of electron donating group. As an electron withdrawing group next to the carbon from where the hydrogen is lost makes  the carbonium ion more stable.
