No marks to be deducted for the cumulative effect of an error. It should be penalized only once.

Does it mean if a numerical question has two sub part and the answer of 2nd part depends on the answer of 1st part and if a student makes calculation mistake in first part and bec of which gets the marks of 2nd part wrong, in that case will the marks of 2nd part be given?
