The safety regulation of the fire department states that each station should have a standard ladder that can rescue up to 120 feet off the ground. The ladder can only be safely used if it is leaned such that the angle formed by the ladder to the ground is between \( 50^{\circ} \) to \( 60^{\circ} \). If you were to recommend a size of the ladder, what should be the range of the ladder's length? HINT: Application of Angle of elevation.

BC = AB cosec 60° = 120 x \(\frac2{\sqrt3}\) = \(\frac{240}{\sqrt3}ft\)

BD = AB cosec 50° = 120 x 1.3054 = 156.648 ft

Hence, the range of ladder's length should be 138 ft. to 156 ft.
