\(\frac{1}{R} = \frac{1}{2} + \frac{1}{6}\)

\(\frac{1}{R} = \frac{3 + 1}{6}\)

\(\frac{1}{R} = \frac{4}{6}\)

\(R_1 = 1.5 \Omega\)

\(R = R_1 + R_2\)

R = 1.5 + 1.5

\(R = 3\Omega\)

and then \(\frac{1}{R} = \frac{1}{3} + \frac{1}{3}\)

\(\frac{1}{R} = \frac{2}{3}\)

\(R = 1.5 \Omega\)

Current \(i = \frac{V}{R} = \frac{3}{1.5}\) = 2 Ampere.
