Given:-

Height of Object, Ho = 5cm

Distance of the Object, u = -30cm

Focal length , f = +15cm

Now,

\(\frac{1}{v} - \frac{1}{u} = \frac{1}{f}\)

\(\frac{1}{v} = \frac{1}{f} + \frac{1}{u}\)

\(\frac{1}{v} = \frac{1}{15} - \frac{1}{30} = \frac{1}{30}\)

\(v = 30cm\)

(i) The image is formed at a distance of 30cm from the lens to its right side.

(ii) Magnification, m = \(\frac{v}{u} = \frac{30}{-30}\) \(= -1\)

The image formed is real, inverted and of the same size as that of object.
