79. Which one is the correct order of acidity (1) \( CH \equiv CH > CH _{3}- C \equiv CH > CH _{2}= CH _{2}> CH _{3}- CH _{3} \) (2) \( CH \equiv CH > CH _{2}= CH _{2}> CH _{3}- C \equiv CH > CH 3- CH \) (3) \( CH _{3}- CH _{3}> CH _{2}= CH _{2}> CH _{3}- C \equiv CH > CH \equiv CH \) (4) \( CH _{2}= CH _{2}> CH _{3}- CH = CH _{2}> CH _{3}- C \equiv CH > CH \equiv CH \)

correct answer is 1:

Since terminal carbon of alkyne group is acidic because is has higher electronegativity then other

and in CH3–C=_CH CH3 is showing +I effect which will un stabilise the - charge on C which will come after H is gone

Order of Electronegativity:-

alkyne > alkene > alkane
