Mixture contain = 3gCl2 + MgSO4

∵ Mixture contains = 0.6 mole chloride ions and 0.2 mole sulphate ions.

∴ Mixture contain - 0.3 mole MgCl2 and 0.2 mole MgSO4.

∴ Number of moles of Mg+2 ion present in mixture = 0.3 + 0.2

= 0.5 mole
