Photosynthesis is the combining of carbon dioxide and water to make glucose and oxygen.

The balanced equation for photosynthesis:

6CO+ 6H2O→C6H12O+ 6O2

In the presence of sunlight, six moles of carbon dioxide and six moles of water react to form one molecule of glucose and six moles of oxygen.
