Subject: Growing incidence of bullying in schools.
Sir,
Through the columns of your newspaper I wish to draw attention of concerned authorities and common people towards the problem of growing incidence of bullying in schools and it's consequences on students.
This is unfortunate that school authorities are not sensitive towards the problem of bullying of their students in schools. Many students are bullied by their peers and seniors, which in result deteriorites their confidence and make them feel inferior among all. Their social skills are affected by this and they become introverted. It diverts their focus and is a hindrance for them in concentration on their studies . Bullying also affects their mental conditions and makes them feel depressed, vulnerable and insecure about themselves. Sometimes the conditions are so severe that it leads to suicide.
Bullying is a plight for those whoare emotionally very sensitive. Bullying of students is a hindrance in nuturing overall development in them. As students are the future of the country school authorities should take some preventive steps ,like school committee members should fit CCTV cameras in each and every floor in order to have a close watch on students moreover, concerned authorities should introduce campaigns about effects of bulling on mental health to safeguard the students from getting bullied.
I hope my words will find some space in people speak column of your daily and will surely bring about some change in the existing situation.
Thank You
Yours Sincerely Monika
