(c) Charge on surface of colloidal particle
The potential difference between the fixed layer and the diffused layer of opposite charges is called the zeta potential or electro kinetic potential. It is used to define or explain the process of preferential adsorption of ions from solution in the electrical charge on colloidal particles.
