imageGiven:

  • Length of the rectangular lawn=75m
  • Breadth of the lawn=60m
  • Width of the road=4m

  • Area of the road(ABCD) parallel to thelength of the lawn =75m x 4m

= 300m2

  • Area of the road(EFGH) parallel to the breadth of the lawn = 60m x 4m

= 240m²

  • Area of the common area in both ABCD and EFGH = 4mx 4m

= 16m²

Total area of both the rectangular
roads = 300 + 240 - 16

=524m

  • Cost of gravelling the roads per m² = Rs.

4.50

Cost of gravelling the roads for 524m²

= 4.50 x 524

= 2358

Cost of gravelling the road is Rs.2358
