Best answer

(a) √2 and angle 45°

IN with angle 45 degrees with x-axis

Net force in x- direction = -IN

Net force in y-direction = -IN

∴ Force required to balance = 1 \(\hat{i}\) +1 \(\hat{j}\)

∴  Angle it makes is 45° with x-axis
