Correct option: (C) – 37.5 N

Explanation:

F = m × a

v2 = u2 + 2as

hence a = {(v2 – u2) / 2s}

F = m {(v2 – u2) / 2s}

F = (20) [{52 – 202} / {2(100)}]

F = – 37.5 N
