The magnitude of the earth's magnetic field at a place is \( B_{0} \) and the angle of dip is \( \delta \). A horizontal conductor of length I, lying north south, moves eastwards with a velocity v. The e.m.f. induced across the rod is

(a) Zero

(b) \( B _{0} lv \)

(c) \( B_{0} l v \sin \delta \)

(d) \( B_{0} l v \cos \delta \)

Correct option is (c) \(B_0vl \,sin\,\delta\)

A horizontal conductor of length \(l\) lying along the magnetic north-south when moves eastwards with a velocity \(v\) then the emf will induced and magnetic field in last direction will act.

\(E = B_{vertical}\, vl\)

\(B =B_0\)

\(E = B_0vl \,sin\,\delta\)
