Correct option is (b) Z + 3.

For a neutral atom -

Number of electrons = Number of protons

and mass Number = Number of electrons + Number of neutrons.

\(\therefore\) Number of protons = Z

\(\therefore\) Number of Neutrons = (2Z + 3) - Z

= Z + 3.
