Hyperconjugation effect – is the phenomenon when σ– electrons involve themselves in conjugation with \(\pi\)– electrons or p–orbitals. Delocalization of σ– electrons of a C–H bond of an alkyl group takes place when it is attached to an atom of unsaturated system or to an atom with an unshared p–orbital. It is a permanent effect.
