Development refers to overall growth of the employee:It focuses on personal growth and successful employee’s development. Development is much wider in concept as compared to training as training is only one part of development. However, both training and development are related process. Training helps the employee in learning job skills whereas development shapes attitude of the employee. The term ‘training’ is used in relation to operative employee whereas ‘development’ in used in relation to executives and managers.
