Correct option: (C) {R / (γ – 1)}

Explanation:

CP – CV = R where R is universal gas constant

Also (CP / CV) = γ    i.e.      CP = γ CV 

Hence   γCV – CV = R

∴  CV(γ – 1) = R

∴  CV = [R / (γ – 1)]
