Explanation:

Total power = carrier power [1 + (m2 / 2)]

PT = PC [1 + (m2 / 2)]

Given: m = 0.5

PT = 10KW

  10 = PC [1 + {(0.5)2 / 2)]

10 = PC [1 + (1/8)]

  PC = (80/9) = 8.89 KW
