Boston gave Helen the feeling of a beautiful fairy tale. The visit was filled with great joy. Among the many friends that Helen made in Boston were Mr William Endicott and his daughter. Their kindness to her was the seed from which many pleasant memories had grown.
One day, Helen visited their beautiful home at Beverly Farms. Helen recalls with delight how she went through their rose garden, how their dogs came to meet her and how Nimrod, the fasterst of the horses, pushed his nose into her hands. She also remembers the beach, where for the first time she played in the sand.
Mr Endicott told her stories about the great ships that came sailing form Boston and bound for Europe. Helen met him many times after that and he was always a good and kind friend to her. indeed, she was thinking of him when she called Boston "The City of Kind Hearts.'
