  • thrill of speed
  • ignoring traffic rules
  • always in a hurry to reach the  destination
  • stress leading to lack of concentration while driving .
  • drunken driving
  • distractions – mobile phone, music
  • youth – impatient
  • underage drivers
  • increase in traffic / more vehicles on the road

Solutions / Suggestions

  • follow traffic rules strictly
  • do not jump traffic signals
  • wear seat belts and  helmets
  • more policemen to act as deterrents
  • penalty / punishment  even for a small violation of rules
  • traffic rules to be taught in  schools
  • while issuing license,  there should be comprehensive classes to teach /test  traffic rules
  • parents to be held responsible for underage drivers
  • use of public transport / car pool
  • conduct awareness programmes
